Senior Azure Data Engineer (Fabric & Databricks)
Job Description – Senior Azure Data Engineer (Microsoft Data Engineer (Fabric & Databricks)) Required Experience: 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and Business Intelligence solutions. 10+ years of hands-on experience with ETL development using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). 10+ years of experience writing advanced SQL queries, developing stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and optimizing database performance through query tuning and indexing. 5+ years of experience designing and implementing data engineering solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Functions, Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL DW), Azure SQL Database, Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Catalog, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Machine Learning (ML Studio), and AI/ML services. 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Fabric , including Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, Real-Time Analytics, Data Engineering, and Power BI integration. 3+ years of experience with Azure Databricks , including Spark-based data processing, Delta Lake, PySpark, notebook development, performance optimization, and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines. 3+ years of programming experience in C#, Python, and JSON. 3+ years of experience with enterprise reporting and visualization tools such as Microsoft SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or Logi Analytics. 3+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools, including Azure DevOps, Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), GitLab, and Jenkins. Preferred Skills: Experience designing modern data lakehouse architectures using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling, data governance, data quality, and metadata management. Experience implementing scalable batch and real-time data processing solutions. Knowledge of Delta Lake, Spark optimization techniques, partitioning, and performance tuning. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD implementation for data engineering projects. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
