Job Description – Data Science & AI Expert Experience 8–12+ years Employment Type Full-time Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Data Science & AI Expert to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms and AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in data architecture, data engineering, artificial intelligence, and machine learning with strong leadership and business consulting capabilities. This role will be responsible for defining the organization's data strategy, building scalable data ecosystems, driving AI innovation, mentoring technical teams, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver high-impact, data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & Engineering Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that support business objectives and technical requirements. Develop and maintain enterprise data models, databases, and data flow processes. Define and govern the organization's data architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business strategy and industry best practices. Architect, optimize, and manage data storage solutions, including relational and NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. Lead the design and implementation of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from multiple internal and external sources. Ensure data reliability, availability, scalability, and performance across the enterprise data ecosystem. Drive adoption of modern data engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, version control, and DevOps methodologies. Data Governance & Compliance Establish enterprise-wide data quality standards and governance frameworks. Define policies for metadata management, master data management, data lineage, and data cataloging. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and privacy requirements. Implement best practices for data security, access control, encryption, and risk management. Artificial Intelligence & Data Science Lead the design and development of AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions to solve complex business problems. Identify opportunities to leverage predictive analytics, recommendation systems, NLP, computer vision, and LLM-based applications. Drive research and innovation by evaluating emerging AI technologies and translating them into business value. Build reusable AI frameworks, accelerators, and data science assets to improve solution delivery. Guide model lifecycle management, including experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement (MLOps). Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership to data engineers, AI engineers, data scientists, and software development teams. Mentor team members and establish engineering best practices across projects. Review solution architectures and ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Stakeholder Management & Consulting Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, architects, developers, and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Build trusted relationships with stakeholders by effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Lead technical discussions, solution design workshops, and architecture reviews. Ensure solutions deliver measurable business outcomes while remaining scalable, future-ready, and cost-effective. Presales & Solution Consulting Partner with business development and sales teams during presales engagements. Understand client challenges and develop innovative Data & AI solution strategies. Participate in client workshops, technical presentations, proposal development, solution estimation, and proof-of-concept initiatives. Provide thought leadership and technical expertise to help win strategic opportunities. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in Data Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Cloud Platforms. Continuously evaluate new tools, platforms, and methodologies to strengthen the organization's data ecosystem. Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, automation, operational efficiency, and overall solution quality. Champion innovation initiatives that enhance organizational capabilities and create competitive advantages. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, AI, Machine Learning, or related domains. Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and cloud-native data architectures. Strong expertise in SQL, Python, Spark, distributed data processing, and modern ETL/ELT frameworks. Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouse architectures, and real-time data streaming. Hands-on experience with AI/ML model development, deployment, and MLOps practices. Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and security frameworks. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and automation practices. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills. Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and mentoring engineers. Preferred Skills Expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, and Vector Databases. Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift. Knowledge of Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Delta Lake, Kubernetes, and Docker. Familiarity with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Experience in enterprise architecture, solution consulting, and client-facing engagements.
